Research and development are essential to the business activities of ADR. ADR invests a very substantial part of its turnover in R&D, which is a central pillar of its constant innovation.
One of ADR priorities is to ensure that we fully master the most promising innovative technologies in terms of cost and efficiency. ADR is deeply committed to long-term R&D projects notably within the ASTECH aerospace competitiveness cluster (Paris region) in association with other major groups and renowned research centres.
The company’s R&D policy is focused on three key pillars:
the scientific pillar: upstream scientific activities and studies;
the technical pillar: technical and technological aspects;
the tools and processes pillar.
To illustrate our efforts in this direction, we recently participated in the creation of a best practice guide for the installation and integration of high precision ball bearings for space mechanisms.
